SWAROVSKI Shined at The 84th Academy Awards On and Off Stage!!

It was BLING BLING at The Academy Awards both on and off stage!  I always LOVE the fashion on the red carpet, but it really must be beautiful to sit at the show and see the amazing stage too. The set of this year’s 84th Academy Awards® was designed by Oscar-nominated production designer, John Myhre, and prominently featured over 6,500 SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS creating a majestic spectacle for Hollywood’s royalty.

Swarovski,  for  the  fourth consecutive year and  fifth  time  was the creative ingredient illuminating the film world’s most glamorous and revered  stage on Hollywood’s most eagerly anticipated evening.  Myhre’s vision of a  divine  crystal  field of stars was brought to life with a 70 foot wide by 40 foot high custom made Swarovski backdrop twinkling with nearly 4,500 crystals, with a shimmering “halo” of 2,000 crystals evoking a magical atmosphere true to the essence of Hollywood.

Maya Rudolph wore a custom Johanna Johnson ‘Claret’ Italian silk wool gown hand beaded and embroidered with Swarovski stones and vintage set beads to the 84th Academy Awards. LOVE THIS!!!

Katy Perry (in Blumarine) and Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese wore a Jenny Packham soft pink chiffon beaded cap sleeve gown with a keyhole bodice and cut-out neckline to the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. She carried a Swarovski silver mix Power clutch.

Vanessa Hudgens wore a Georges Chakra gold strapless mermaid gown with leather foiled cut-outs from the Spring/Summer 2012 Couture collection to the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. She carried a  a vintage gold crystal mesh Swarovski clutch with a chain strap.
